perceived as government meanness over Social Security cut-backs.
^Today that hostility spilled over into outright violence when
a peaceful protest march against education cuts turned ugly.
^The Police Chief has made a statement that the march had been
disrupted by Anarchist extremists who quickly began throwing stones
at wary police observing the march.
^Riot police were quickly called in to contain the mob, and a
number of innocent people were injured attempting to get out of the
way, some of them as young as ten. More than 20 arrests were made.
^Violence also erupted in other downtown areas, with shop fronts
smashed and goods looted in an orgy of destruction. Petrol bombs
were used in some cases, and a number of fires are burning unchecked.

has quickly spread across the nation and people everywhere
are being urged to protest against the corruption and
incompetent management in central government.

the President has appointed his cronies into key positions,
no-one expected an easy task in removing him.
^But how much support do the revolutionaries have? Well, those
furthest away from the capital have always felt the effects of
official neglect, as the economic wealth of the country has been
drained into the pockets of the President and his confederates.
Provincial governors have mostly capitulated to a revolutionary
alliance of trade unions and radicals. 
^The Generals are siding with the President, but the army itself
is divided. The rank and file have always regarded themselves
as citizens and refused to stand against the movement, so a civil
war may be averted.
^Much will depend on a secret meeting between radical leaders and
the President in which a settlement is hoped to be reached which
will certainly involve drastic changes in our constitution.

ot the contamination, but local towns within the ten mile
exclusion zone were badly affected. Survivors reported a
strange glowing on the horizon before they found themselves
struggling to breathe.

hospitals unable to cater for the huge number of exposure
cases. One Doctor told us "we didn't have the procedures
or equipment to deal with mass radioactive contamination".

of all nuclear reactors.
